Kipton's Cube Solver
A free app that teaches you to solve twisty puzzles — made by Kipton (age 9) and his dad.
What it does
Enter the colors of your real, mixed-up cube and the app shows you how to solve it — either Learn It, which teaches you step by step in plain words with the pieces highlighted, or Shortest, which finds a fast solution. Or skip all that and just play: scramble the on-screen puzzle, twist it with your finger, and grab a hint whenever you're stuck. There's even a Pattern Studio — design a fun shape like a checkerboard or a spiral, and the app walks you through making it on your real cube.
- 3x3 Cube — the classic, taught in 7 friendly parts
- 2x2 Pocket Cube — great for beginners
- 4x4 Cube — the next big step up
- Megaminx — the twelve-sided dodecahedron
- Skewb Ultimate — a corner-twisting challenge
- Floppy Cube — one flat layer, perfect for little hands
- Falling Blocks Cube — a colorful twist on the 3x3

Who made this
Hi! I'm Kipton, and I'm 9 years old. My dad and I love twisty puzzles, so we built this app together — just the two of us. We started with a little website that solved the cube step by step, and we kept adding to it until it grew into this app: seven puzzles, a step-by-step teacher, free play, and a Pattern Studio for making cool designs. It's completely free — no ads, no accounts, no tracking — and we hope it helps you crack whatever puzzle you're working on. If you enjoy it, share it with a friend!
